This lovely pastry, the Kouign Amann (pronounced "queen a-mahn") comes from the northern coast of France, in the region of Brittany.  Imagine flaky croissant dough with salted butter and sugar in between the layers, like a caramelized butter cake.  Then say no more.  And hurry in to get one (or two)?  And tell your friends.
