At the shop just in time for Valentines Day are our Chocolate Heart Sandwich Cookies. This chocolate cookie is filled with dark chocolate ganache and a perfect way to show your love.
Our donation jar collected $702 in January for the Edison Community AED. As our town relies on volunteer firefighters and first responders, installing an outdoor AED in downtown Edison is a great way to protect our residents and visitors in case of emergency.
Coming in March…Irish Soda Bread & Chocolate Mint Sandwich Cookies!

As we move into a new year, we’re excited to share with you some exciting changes here at Breadfarm. Our recent business re-organization has opened some doors for us in 2023.
We’ve got plans to re-open our lobby, start selling coffee, create a few grab~n~go offerings including pizza dough and frozen chocolate chip cookie dough and perhaps bring back a few of your favorite loaves that we’re retired during Covid.
We’re thankful for all your support over the years and look forward to what’s coming.
And mark your calendars & come see us Sat Jan 14th for the Anacortes Winter Farmers Market from 9a-2p to stock up on all your favorite goodies.
Happy New Year!
Renée, Scott & the Breadfarmers
]]>Loaded with almonds, orange rind, boozy soaked currants, and a touch of Grand Marnier then dusted with fine sugar, this bread is stellar. If you don't have any holiday memories associated with Stollen, I encourage you to wait no longer. Order a loaf. Eat a loaf. Savor a loaf today.
]]>It's truly one of the best cookies on the block.

My personal favorite, the Cranberry Lemon Bakewell Tart is ready to make it's annual debut later this month. A rye/wheat crust with almond frangipane, lemon curd, poached cranberries, toasted almonds and a dusting of sugar, this is a tart, sweet delicious offering that we'll have in the afternoons thru early 2023.
A big thank you to all who donated funds to our October Community Donation jar, Edison Elementary received a check for $978 which they will use to purchase warm coats or shoes for students in need.
Our November Community Donation recipient is the Bread Lab!
Enjoy fall~

Our goal is, and always has been, to bake for our community. We’re excited about the next chapter in our business. Coffee?!! Re-opening the lobby in 2023!! In addition to bringing back some old favorites, including Sour Cherry Lemon Bread, North Fork Rye, Fig Anise Panini and Herbed Foccacia. We're testing a recipe for take home pizza dough, take~n~bake cookie dough & Scott has plans to fire up the flour mill he built in 2016 & work on some smaller batch breads that have been on the horizon for a long time.
While not easy, this decision comes on the heels of a 3 year pandemic roller coaster ride and a significant change in the workforce.
Our shop is open daily from 8a-4p and full of the delicious naturally leavened loaves you’ve come to love, in addition to shortbread cookies and European pastry. Thank you for your support here and for sharing your table with us.]]>We couldn't keep coming if you didn't show up~
We'll be back on Saturday November 19 from 10a-4p for the Holiday Market and then the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9a-2p in January, February, March and April for the Winter Farmers Market.
Eat local, buy direct,
Cheers, Renee & Scott
Happy summer traveling~
]]>This June, in light of the recent tragic events in Uvalde, Texas, and in order to pay our respects to the families impacted by such tremendous loss and trauma, our donation jar will go to Safe and Sane Skagit. This local grassroots organization is dedicated to bringing safety and security to our local and national communities through legislative and elected change.
Market season is one of our favorite times of the year. Come join in the fun at the Anacortes Farmer’s Market every Saturday from 9am-2pm!
One of the best parts of Spring is new and delicious local produce coming into season. Look for organic rhubarb from Living Rain Farms in Mt. Vernon in our morning ‘fruit’ danish and local plums in our afternoon bakewell tarts. Mt. Vernon’s Frog Song Farms and Ralph’s Greenhouse provide the local potatoes and leeks for our hit new Potato Leek Danish. Customers are also loving our new Chocolatine, a spin on a chocolate croissant topped with a decadent chocolate shaving and glaze. These two additions will be available by walk up and phone order!
As always, thank you for your continued support. We love being part of such a great community of neighbors, friends, and explorers.
Renée & Scott
May’s donation jar will go to the Edison Firehall District 5. A dedicated group of volunteers, including one of our own Breadfarmers, this local station is an invaluable asset to our community. They routinely provide ambulance and fire services for the Skagit Valley area.
It’s finally farmer’s market season! Come see us at the Anacortes Farmer’s Market from 9a-2p every Saturday starting May 7th!
Our pastry department has been hard at work thinking up new and creative ways to bring delicious local products to our storefront. The Potato Leek Danish and Chocolatine have been huge hits, and we are very excited to have local, organic rhubarb now in season! Look for it in the morning in our ‘Fruit’ Danish and in our afternoon Bakewell Tarts.
Tulips may be on their way out, but we’ve sure enjoyed seeing festival-goers and locals alike stopping by the bakery this spring. It’s such a joy to contribute to the tradition of tulip season in our own way – by delighting tastebuds with our artisan bread and pastry.
Thank you as always for your support,
Renée & Scott
The Burlington Edison High School Green Club was extremely thankful for the $1,131.40 that you donated in February. They are currently working on introducing alternatives to Styrofoam in the high school’s lunchroom and providing plastic recycling bins for each classroom.
In March, our donation jar assisted with completing the Edison Elementary Labyrinth project. We collected $1,082.52. This will will go towards installing 2 benches, landscaping, and the creation of a memorial for Jill Bailey, Edison resident & teacher who passed away in January after a 2.5 year battle with brain cancer.
This month, donations will go toward Blanchard Community Hall, a historic landmark and gathering space in the state’s oldest wooden train station. They routinely host public events, classes, and dinners.
