Breadfarm is a mid-sized bread bakery located the rural village of Edison in the beautiful Skagit Valley. We are focused on hand-crafted naturally leavened artisan breads and European style pastries. We source high quality natural and often organic ingredients, including locally grown and milled flours. Since 2003, our bakery remains dedicated to the quality and integrity of the artisan bread baking processes and creating an environment for our bakers to thrive. We are committed to passing on the methods, traditions, science and craft of baking to the next generation of bakers.

NOW hiring for Artisan Bread Baker in a commercial scale, from scratch, production environment. Experience preferred, willing to train the right candidates. We have 2 positions available. Mixer - Shaper and Shaper - Baker. 

YOU: Are a self-starting professional with a passion for artisan bread making. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, have strong organizational skills, be clean in work habits, pay attention to details, and care, a lot, for the products we make. Excellent math skills do apply. You should be capable and confident of meeting the production demands in a bustling bakery. You can lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for 8 hour shifts.  Must be fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19.

THE HOURS: Breadfarm is open 7 days a week.  This is a full-time position. Schedule hours can vary 10am-6 and then either 5:30am-1:30pm or 2pm-10pm. Scheduled days stay the same week to week (unless we need to cover others' time off)

COMPENSATION: We offer competitive pay, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K savings plan with 4% match, paid vacation, paid sick time, a great work environment and a free loaf of bread with every shift.

THE DUTIES: Shaping dough into loaves. Then either mixing dough and tending the fermentation or monitoring the proofing bread and baking the loaves. Managing fermentation, proofing, coordinating the bake of naturally leavened artisan breads.
