WHAT'S NEW
December 2008

Here's to the holidays and to peace in the New Year.

We are currently testing out Lehi Organic Wheat flour for our Baker White and Farmer Bread.  It is our hope to begin offering these 2 options as 100% organic bread again early in 2009.  This would bring our organic bread offerings to 4 choices, including the Tonasket 100% Rye and Blue Bird Grains 100% Wheat.

If you are heading to the slopes of Mt Baker this winter be sure to grab a Breadfarm sourdough Bread Bowl.  What a great way to warm up and get some nourishment before ripping it up down the snowy runs.  Thanks Matt and the rest of the Mt Baker crew for supporting local commerce and sourcing a local bread bowl from Breadfarm!

FLEUR DE LIS OILCLOTH TOTES $20-35
Local Edison seamstress Iris Collinge just brought us a new load of her oilcloth totes.  Available in small or large, these totes are durable, bright and vibrant.  I have several and use them as grocery sack, knitting bag, toy bag or bag to take to the beach.

A special shout out to Carly James at Bison Bookbinding in Bellingham for her artistic abilities and creative eye in designing our new cookie box.  You rock!

And...a big welcome to Stacey Racine.  Stacey just returned "home" to Edison after several years in Hawaii.  She is the newest addition to our Breadfarmer super star line up and is a great addition in the ancillary production area of the bakery.

Thanks to all for supporting your local, artisan bakery.  Here's to the holidays ready or not!
